Unlike textbook-only courses, we include plenty of hands-on sessions with live equipment including complete working gateshaft and mechanical cabinet governors, a 20 Series pump, analog Mod II test stand, and many unique, instructive cutaway systems and assemblies. Our turbine and governor simulators and dashpot lab add a new dimension to hands-on training.

Whether you’re an experienced governor technician or an apprentice, our annual workshop will expand your knowledge of governors and hone your skills. Governor School is staffed by our knowledgeable instructors, many with decades of real-world experience. The sessions are interactive, and the instructors’ goals are to share their knowledge with you.
We provide a combination of classroom and hands-on training sessions on many types of Woodward and Pelton governors, oil systems, and auxiliaries. Training for other governor types is available upon request. Digital governor workshops range from legacy Woodward digital models to the latest digital systems.
