Sonifiers
Get advanced control over sample-processing with SFX Sonifiers from Bransonic.
Bring the most advanced sample-processing capabilities to your laboratory with the SFX Series of sonifiers from Branson. Since 1960, Bransonic sonifiers have set laboratory industry standards for degassing liquids, accelerating chemical reactions, preparing liposomes, and performing genome research. And now, for the first time, you can specify the exact energy amount to apply in your experiment — control over a critical variable not available with any other ultrasonic liquid disruption technology.
The SFX 150 is a lower-power unit that’s perfect for processing a smaller volume of liquid with a quiet operation. Geared toward samples ranging from 0.2 mL to 150 mL, and delivering up to 150 watts of power, the 150 is the only cell disruptor and homogenizer of its type. The model includes a handheld converter for quick experiment setup without a converter stand. Packing a lot of power in a smaller container, the 150 has the same control and monitoring functions as larger models.
The SFX 250 delivers up to 250 watts of power at 20kHz, processing samples from 0.2 mL up to 500 mL, perfect for all but the highest-volume applications. Branson-exclusive True Temperature Control allows you to specify a temperature range for the sample and have the sonifier automatically adjust the ultrasonic pulse length to prevent overheating. Offering continuous or pulsed ultrasonics, the SFX 250 features advanced control modes that include time and energy modes.
The most powerful sonifier, the SFX 550, handles high-volume applications with up to 550 watts of output power at 20kHz. With the power to process larger, viscous samples up to 1000 mL, the SFX 550 offers precise control over energy outputs and other parameters to accommodate experiments of all sizes. Plus, it’s packed with all the exclusive Branson features available in other model sizes and comes with a power supply, converter and choice of ½˝ or ¾˝ disruptor horn.
