Petrochemical plants can utilize the Rosemount™ 8800 Vortex Flow Meters with integral temperature sensors. The flowmeters integrate with Rosemount pressure transmitters to create a compensated measurement delivering mass readings for steam measurement. The all cast body and sealed non-clogging design results in improved plant safety, process availability, and measurement reliability. The flow and temperature sensors are isolated from the process which enables any maintenance without stopping the process. Reducing permanent pressure loss, fuel cost reduction, and usage visibility results in significant cost savings.

The Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter combines temperature and flow devices into a single, highly accurate instrument, eliminating the costly installation of two or more separate devices. The integrated, removable temperature sensor provides an accurate process temperature measurement and is isolated from the process and separate from the Vortex flow sensor. With the input from an external HART® pressure transmitter, it also provides temperature and pressure compensation, enabling compensated mass flow and corrected volume in steam and liquid applications.

The Rosemount 8800 Reducer Vortex Flow Meter utilizes the trusted electronics, sensor, and meter body of the Rosemount 8800 Series while harnessing the benefits of integral reducers to accurately measure lower flow rates. This design eliminates field assembly and welding of separate reducers and piping, thereby greatly reducing installation costs and project risk. Additionally, the face-to-face dimensions of the Rosemount 8800 Reducer match that of the traditional Rosemount 8800 Series for ultimate versatility.
