EPIC faced an aggressive timeline for their new 600,000 barrel per day Crude Oil Pipeline, built to extend from Orla to Corpus Christi, Texas. To maximize pipeline throughput and optimize profitability for this major investment, Epic is reliant on efficient receipt of crude at their terminal locations.  The majority of the product is transported via truck from various west Texas suppliers/carriers and then transferred to multiple customers upon receipt. Epic called on Emerson to supply a Terminal Management solution for their crude offload terminals, a mission-critical part of this project.

Also, regulatory agencies mandate that PRVs installed on offshore platforms must have yearly functional tests and related service records. Emerson’s unique PRV RFID technology improved safety and allowed effective data availability.
